José Rizal University continues to champion women’s empowerment through meaningful outreach initiatives that inspire young women to recognize their potential, develop their skills, and build confidence in pursuing their dreams.
On March 5, 2025, JRU conducted “Her Voice, Her Power: A Women Empowerment Initiative” at Tahanan Sta. Luisa in Antipolo City, Rizal. The outreach program provided young women with opportunities for self-expression, creativity, and confidence-building through interactive games, team activities, and personal sharing. One of the highlights was a ribbon flower-making workshop, where beneficiaries learned a creative skill that could potentially serve as an additional source of income.
The program also featured an intermission performance by the beneficiaries, followed by the distribution of giveaways and donations as a gesture of support. More than just an outreach activity, the experience allowed JRU volunteers to appreciate the value of compassion, service, and women’s empowerment. It served as a reminder that empowering women begins with creating opportunities for them to discover their strengths, develop their abilities, and believe in their potential.
