CAMPUS MILESTONES
Breaking Ground in Lipa
On June 19, 2026, José Rizal University marked the groundbreaking of its upcoming campus in Barangay Marawoy, Lipa City, Batangas. The ceremony signaled a step forward in the University’s expansion and its commitment to bringing Rizalian education closer to students and families in the region.
The occasion included the laying of a time capsule, marking the beginning of the campus’s development and preserving a moment that future generations of Rizalians can look back on.
As the campus takes shape, JRU Lipa carries forward the University’s values of excellence, leadership, and service. The groundbreaking opened a new chapter in that continuing story, with Lipa becoming part of the University’s future.
Marking a New Beginning
On August 13, 2026, José Rizal University held a coin-tossing ceremony at the site of its upcoming Lipa campus in Barangay Marawoy, Lipa City, Batangas.
Following the groundbreaking in June, the ceremony marked another milestone in the campus’s development. Despite overcast skies, the occasion proceeded, adding another shared moment to JRU Lipa’s unfolding story.
As work on the campus continues, these milestones document the beginnings of a future learning community in Lipa, one that will carry forward the Rizalian values of excellence, leadership, and service.
