José Rizal University’s ALUNSINA (Alab ng Laya at Ugnayang Nagpupugay sa Sarili, Indibidwal, at Natatanging Anyo) continues to champion inclusivity, gender awareness, and empowerment through initiatives that encourage understanding, respect, and recognition of diverse identities.
On August 16, 2025, ALUNSINA, in partnership with La Dama Filipina, conducted the SOGIESC 101 and Women Empowerment Workshop at the GCL 4. The workshop provided a safe and welcoming space for discussions on gender awareness, SOGIESC, and women empowerment. Through meaningful conversations and personal sharing, participants learned more about gender-related issues while fostering mutual respect, empathy, and inclusivity.
In celebration of Pansexual Pride Day, ALUNSINA also launched “Let’s Talk Facts!”—an information campaign aimed at addressing misconceptions and promoting an information campaign aimed at addressing misconceptions and promoting accurate understanding of pansexuality. Grounded in credible research and accessible information, the campaign emphasized the importance of education, visibility, and solidarity in recognizing diverse identities. These initiatives support SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 5: Gender Equality, and SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, reinforcing JRU’s commitment to building a more informed, respectful, and inclusive university community.
