José Rizal University proudly announces its membership in the Partnership for Clean Air, Inc. (PCA)—a significant milestone that strengthens the University’s commitment to environmental sustainability, climate action, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
As the newest member of PCA, JRU joins a distinguished multi-sector network composed of government agencies, academic institutions, civil society organizations, and private sector partners working together to promote better air quality management and sustainable environmental practices in the Philippines.
This partnership reinforces JRU’s dedication to:
- Promoting environmental stewardship and clean air initiatives
- Supporting research, education, and community engagement on sustainability
- Collaborating with national stakeholders in developing innovative solutions for cleaner and healthier communities
- Integrating sustainability and climate action into teaching, research, extension, and campus operations
JRU also participated in the 2026 Partnership for Clean Air Annual General Assembly, which featured a learning session on “How to Breathe Clean Air” and brought together members to discuss organizational initiatives and future directions for air quality management in the country.
