Torrential monsoon rains and canceled classes couldn’t stop the return of Tindahan ni Rizal on August 28. The Jose Rizal University Community Development Office (CDO) relaunched its once-a-month campus market, proving that strong partnership can easily brave any hindrance.
Pre-orders from the Rizalians secured immediate support for partner barangays and their featured products: Brgy. Daang Bakal and their freshly baked monay, Brgy. Harapin ang Bukas with their eco-friendly dishwasing liquid soap, and Brgy. Bagong Silang’s popular peanut butter and the new, budget-friendly liquid detergent soap.
With the initiative of the Junior High School Division’s Social Orientation and Community Involvement (SOCI) coordinator, Ms. Marienelle Lara and her team invited interested solo parents, unemployed individuals, barangay staff, and other members of the community, to attend the liquid-detergent soap-making training on April 8, 2026 at the JHS building. One of the program’s aims is to provide an accessible and sustainable livelihood opportunity for selected community members in support of SDG 1: No Poverty and SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth.
Tindahan ni Rizal isn’t just a market—it’s proof of what happens when a campus family looks out for its neighbors. Every pre-order and every purchase directly puts earnings into the hands of partner barangays, turning it into real community support.
