The José Rizal University College Division in collaboration with Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) held the International Conference on Sustainability: A Multidisciplinary Approach on March 20, 2023 at the Centennial Building 5th Floor Learning Commons.

Over 160 on-site Rizalian college students and faculty members, and 187 Zoom participants including academe from Universiti Malaysia Sabah, Universiti Malaysia Teregganu, and An Giang University in Vietnam attended the said conference.

The conference chair Dr. Margie U. Alcaide thanks all JRU officials and UMS representatives headed by Dr. Awangku Hassanal Bahar Bin Pengiran Bagul.

According to Dr. Alcaide, bringing these great minds together to the country while ensuring a smooth operations and logistics implementation proved to be strenuous,

however through the diligence and assistance of the UMS delegation, and the support of the JRU community, the conference concluded most successfully. This milestone event would not have been made possible if not for the direct assistance of the University

President, Mr. Vicente K, Fabella, Ms. Karenina Guillermo (Budget), the AHR and ITO offices and most especially to VP Miguel Carpio who supported the conference from the beginning up until the end.
