For the past three years, the College of Business Administration and Accountancy has organized the HusayPreneur Lecture Series to enhance learning opportunities and support employment among students, alumni, and local communities, particularly those from low-income members of the community.
In collaboration with recognized student organizations, the program acts as a form of social investment by inviting experienced alumni to share strategies for addressing poverty and inequality through entrepreneurship. This initiative helps reduce social exclusion by building knowledge and skills that enhance economic resources, benefiting both the JRU community and disadvantaged partner groups.
With attendance increasing from 225 to 422 over three years, the series demonstrates its commitment to addressing Sustainable Development Goal 1 (No Poverty) through welfare and economic empowerment, offering inclusive and practical education.
