José Rizal University proudly launched ALUNSINA, the first LGBTQIA+ and gender-inclusive student organization on campus.
This pioneering initiative stands as a symbol of progress, championing gender equality, inclusivity, and the empowerment of women, men, and marginalized groups alike.
ALUNSINA is committed to addressing gender issues such as the gender gap, gender bias, sexism, and misogyny, while promoting awareness and appreciation of diversity. Grounded in the values of feminism and inspired by feminist theory, the organization seeks to build a safe space for dialogue, expression, and advocacy.
Through outreach programs, seminars, and student-led activities, ALUNSINA empowers both female and male students, as well as members of the LGBTQIA+ community, to become leaders in advancing inclusivity and equity. By fostering understanding and unity, the organization reaffirms JRU’s commitment to a future where women empowerment and gender equality are not only celebrated but actively practiced.
