José Rizal University proudly held the Gender Equality in the Workplace webinar, a gathering dedicated to advancing inclusive practices and ensuring that every individual—regardless of gender—is given equal opportunities to grow and succeed.
The program highlighted the importance of addressing persistent gender gaps in leadership, pay, and career development. Speakers emphasized that dismantling gender bias, sexism, and misogyny in professional spaces is not only a matter of justice but also a crucial step toward building stronger, more innovative organizations.
Through discussions rooted in feminism and feminist theory, participants explored how workplaces can better support women and other marginalized groups. The webinar also underscored the role of both male and female leaders in creating a culture where equity, respect, and accountability thrive.
By championing equity in the workplace, we empower women to lead, challenge outdated norms, and inspire change. This commitment reflects our collective responsibility to promote gender equality, not just as a goal, but as a way of life.
