LOVE LANGUAGE: TOUCH THE HEART OF SOMEONE WHO NEEDS IT was conducted at the Alay Pag-Asa Christian foundation Inc. (Onsite). The objectives of the event was to cherish peace and goodwill, to be plenteous in mercy, and to touch the heart of someone who need it. The Young Marketers Association successfully regulated the outreach program for 30 kids from Alay Pag-Asa Christian Foundation Inc. The Young Marketers Association members were so delightful in sharing gifts with the kids, and everyone was so happy and delightful during and after the said program.
The session began with a short yet uplifting prayer started by both hosts of the event, VP external, Miss. Janine Codizal and Ways and Means, Mr. Renz Collantes. The two energetically started the event by making the kids play energizers, which if they win will get them a prize. The kid’s laughs and smiles were already visible, even though it was just an energizer. Miss. Janine Codizal instructed a few members of the Org. to assist the kids in playing the game to regulate their rowdiness. Stop Dance was the first game, it was observed that most of the children doesn’t know the rules yet, since even though the music stopped, they were still dancing. The game ended with one of the children crying because she didn’t win. Trip to Jerusalem came next, during this game, members of the Org joyfully guided the children, as if they are the ones playing. This portion ended with everyone happy. The students’ prepared performance, which the instructors had prepared, began afterward. The children then began to play Bring Me, Pull the String, and Longest Breath—before pausing for a break.
The gift-giving was commenced by the YMA President, Mr. Daniel Angelo Nicholas Yang, and the YMA Advisor, Mr. John Ven Saint Pasahol. Along with Assistant treasurer, Mr. Chester Boragay, Treasurer, Mr. Jonathan Francisco, Secretary, Sofia Magcanan, and the two hosts. The gifts that gave kids joy was school materials that can help them a lot. Inside the bag given was scissors, color materials, pencils, and papers. Together with the school supplies were hygiene and medical kits. Additional to these gifts were also clothes shared to the kids who attended the event. Also, YMA complemented those gifts by including candies, and chocolate, which made the kids even more delighted. The head of the foundation then gave her heartwarming speech saying thanks to everyone who supported and gave out their all for the program to be fulfilled.
From there on, certificates were given as a token of appreciation to both YMA and Alay Pag-Asa. The principal of the school asks the project managers Mr. Stanley Luis and Mr. Alexander Lance Esteban to give their speech on before closing the event. The two project heads gave thanks to everyone who supported and participated in the event and specifically thanked the Alay Pag-Asa head because it the event Love Language wouldn’t be a success if it weren’t for her support and approval. The two also shared how both of them were honored to perform the event in the school, and how they enjoyed the whole journey of commencing and planning the Love Language: Touch the heart of someone who needs it.
As the program ends, a photo op was done together with the YMA adviser and members, the kids, the staffs, and the foundation head. Upon exiting the venue YMA officers gave out food packs, juice, and water to kids as a token of appreciation for their enthusiastic participation to the program.
Overall, the event was specifically a success. It was an event full of joy and happiness. Everyone on the venue of the event were sharing laughter and smiles enjoying the moment that they spent together. The event wouldn’t also be this successful without the help of donors and sponsors that gave out and reach out to be able to help touch the hearts of someone who needs it.
