On September 6, 2024, the university experienced an unforgettable display of school pride during the much-anticipated PEP Rally: Homecoming of the Heroes.
This celebration of JRU’s rich legacy brought together past heroes and future legends, uniting generations of students, athletes, and alumni in powerful support for the university’s current student-athletes as they prepare for the historic NCAA Season 100. The air buzzed with excitement as the entire JRU community rallied behind its athletes, filling the gym with cheers, chants, and boundless energy.
The PEP Rally was more than just a send-off for student-athletes—it was a symbolic moment, bridging the university’s proud history with its promising future. Alumni returned, sharing the same passion and pride that current students continue to uphold, reinforcing the unbroken bond that defines JRU. The sight of alumni standing shoulder to shoulder with current athletes embodied a true passing of the torch, showcasing how JRU’s spirit of heroism transcends generations. This collaboration was a vivid reminder of the lasting legacy and unity within the JRU community.
One of the event’s highlights was the electrifying performance by the Batch 85 cheerleading squad, who captivated the audience with their routine. Their performance underscored JRU’s long-standing tradition of teamwork and dedication, both on and off the field.
Adding to the excitement, Mr. Paul Supan announced that the JRU Dance Troupe would be competing in a new category this season—the Street Dance competition. This bold move signals a new chapter for the university’s dance athletes and opens up more opportunities for students to showcase their talents on a grand stage. The announcement was met with loud cheers from the crowd, further adding to JRU’s vibrant legacy of artistic and athletic achievement.
Another thrilling moment was the introduction of the NCAA Season 100 muse, Ms. Maliey M. Amante, a 4th-year Tourism Management student. Her role as muse serves as an inspiration for both athletes and students, representing grace, confidence, and the drive to excel across all fields.
The JRU PEP Rally proved to be much more than a gathering of athletes; it was a celebration of legacy, community, and the indomitable spirit that continues to drive the university to new heights.
