I am Joey Alibanto, currently working as an Accountant in a private company. I decided to enter law school as it is my ultimate ambition when I was in high school. I wanted to become an instrument of promoting justice someday.
Q: What challenges have you encountered during your study of law, and how have you overcome them?
As a working student, the biggest challenge for me is time management. I do not have the
pleasure of time to study and read all the cases assigned not just on one subject, but all of
my subjects from Monday to Saturday. To add to that, I also have to juggle since I am the
one paying for my tuition fee. Good thing JRU offers installment process which helped me a lot to cope in financing my education.
Q: What tips or advice would you offer to aspiring law students?
Entering law school was never an easy decision because you have to prepare yourself to it.
You need to have the dedication to finish it. Thus, my biggest advice to those who want to pursue legal education, is to enjoy the process. Even though it is hard, at least you are enjoying. Meet new friends who will support you throughout the finish line, because just like what in the “Barboys” movie said, “It is survival of the fittest out there.
