The Language Coordinator and Grade 1 Level Chair of ESD. Earned her MA degree in Language at José Rizal University in 2016. She has just passed the graduate school entrance exam in Ateneo de Manila University and will soon take up Doctor of Philosophy in English Language and Literature.

Her research entitled, “Pupils’ Experiences in Coping with Speak English Policy: Understanding Pupils Perceptions toward a School Policy” was accepted for poster presentation at ASAIHL NCP’s 1st International Graduate Students Multidisciplinary Research Conference in Bacolod in 2015. The same paper that got accepted for oral presentation at  International Conference on Education, Psychology and Social Science (ICEPSS) in Bulacan in 2016.

While her study about  “The Impact of Community Involvement with a Dumagat Tribe on Pupils’ Awareness of Social Responsibility” was presented at the 3rd AsTEN (ASEAN Teacher Education Network) Conference in Bangkok, Thailand in 2017.

She was also part of the university’s centennial edition of BEL Journal entitled, “BELicent: A Century of Excellence, Innovation and Success”, which will be launched in February next year.

She also represented JRU at EduTech Asia held in Singapore last November, 2019.

THE USE OF BLENDED LEARNING SYSTEM IN TEACHING LANGUAGE

This study aims to attain the following objectives: determine the impact of Blended Language Learning System in the academic performance of the pupils, distinguish factors that affect the usage of Blended Language Learning System or BLLS implementation, identify its advantages and disadvantages and know teachers’ perceptions regarding the new pedagogy in teaching Language.Based on the findings, the researcher derived the following conclusions;technology integration improves pupil motivation, Blended Language Learning System has found to be effective as reflected in the level of academic performance of the pupils. It does fit the need of the digital natives in learning language, the pupils’ grades prior and after BLLS had a significant difference with regard the influence of the said system in the pupils’ English language learning. BLLS helped significantly in improving the pupils’ performance in learning language.Language Teachers regarded blended learning as advantageous to the school, pupils, teachers and parents. They strongly agree that technology integration improves pupil motivation. In lieu of the findings of the study, the researcher recommended the institutionalization of BLLS with the consideration of the three aspects- technical, administrative and academic.  The collaboration of the said aspects would enhance BLLS and would result to quality education.

THE IMPACT OF COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT ON PUPILS’ AWARENESS OF SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
This study aims to attain the following objectives: understand the impact of community involvement on pupils’ awareness of social responsibility, identify the experiences of the pupils and the values gained during and after the community engagement activity and determine the difference in the Awareness of Social Responsibility of the pupils before and after their community involvement. This mixed methods research which is the combination of qualitative and the quantitative will focus on the impact of community engagement with a Dumagat tribe on pupils’ awareness of social responsibility. A total of 100 pupils in grades 5 and 6were selected as respondents. A pre and post surveys were conducted to validate the results. T-test was used for a more comprehensive statistical analysis such as level of significance difference. Findings revealed that after the community involvement pupils have gained confidence and have built leadership and communication skills. An improved social responsibility and citizenship skills are evident as well. Pupils’ level of awareness of social responsibility has significantly increased prior and after the community involvement. One of the recommendations is to conduct a study on the lifelong impact of outreach programs.
