Information Technology Office
The Information Technology Office is composed primarily of two teams: the Management Information System Team and the Technical Support Team. The Technical Support Team facilitates the installation and repair of hardware and software for the continuous operation of systems in the University. They are also in charge of the JRU perimeter regarding bandwidth and UTM. They extend their services to the students, the faculty, and the administrative staff by lending IT equipment such as computer units, projectors, printers, scanners, monitors, speakers, and white screen boards for any co-curricular or extra-curricular activities on campus. Furthermore, they set up IT equipment necessary for the HyFlex modality during the new normal.
On the other hand, the Management Information System Team provides students and employees with user accounts for system access and control. They are also tasked with the printing of school identification cards (IDs). Finally, they are responsible for the enrolment of faculty and students in the Canvas Learning Management System.
The Information technology Office, in general, administers the user accounts of all students and employees to the following software: JRU email address, Canvas Learning Management System, Wi-Fi, Laboratory Access, Google Workspace, and Office 365.
