– Our newly licensed nurses achieved an impressive 97.94% passing rate for first-time takers in the November 2024 Nursing Licensure Examination.
– DR. NASTARAN REZA NAZAR ZADEH, President of the Mechatronics and Robotics Society of the Philippines, is a finalist in the 2024 Global Leadership APAC Awards under the Women in Technology category.
– The College of Education, Arts, and Sciences proudly hosted the Philippine Association for Language Teaching, Inc. (PALT) National Conference and Convention from November 29 to December 1, 2024.

Tatag Rizal
– JRU earned a prestigious 3-Star rating from Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), reflecting our dedication to academic excellence and an enriching learning environment.
– On November 24, 2024, JRU was granted the CHED Autonomous Status Award
– The JRU Taekwondo Team showcased outstanding performances, bringing home 2 Gold and 3 Silver Medals.
- Allan Bacusa claimed Gold in the Men’s Individual Poomsae and partnered with Emie Fernandez to secure another Gold in the Mixed Pair Poomsae. Emie Fernandez also earned a Silver in the Women’s Individual Poomsae.
- In the team events, the Female Team, composed of Maria Jiana B. Ambulo, Janon Greer Ilagan, and Canny Jane Patrono, won Silver, while the Male Team, consisting of Jian Mathew B. Ambulo, Mikko Jeremi Bataoil, and John Jezra Sasutona, also achieved Silver. These remarkable achievements highlight the team’s dedication and skill.
Taos-Pusong Rizal
– Pamaskong Handog 2024: Alay sa mga Ka-Barangay
On November 29, 2024, JRU showed heartfelt gratitude to the hardworking street sweepers of Barangays Bagong Silang, Daang Bakal, and Harapin ang Bukas. By sharing 120 grocery bags, we celebrated the season of giving and appreciation.
The event was filled with warmth and inspiration, highlighted by performances from the JRU Chorale (College Division), Harmoniya (SHS Division), JHS Division, and ESD, along with an insightful talk by Ms. Shirley Dizon from the City Environmental Office of Mandaluyong.
– The Community Development Office (CDO) launched the “Wednesday Walang Plastik-an Day” (WWPD) initiative to promote Zero Waste Management and reduce the use of plastic and styrofoam within and beyond our community.
– Together with the Central Student Council (CSC), the CDO provided relief goods to 100 families in Brgy. Nonong Casto, Lemery, Batangas, following severe flooding caused by Typhoon Kristine.

– The Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM) department shone at the 15th National Food Showdown – Lutong Ala Eh (November 20-22, 2024), earning 9 awards.

The dedication of these HTM students has been truly inspiring. Their journey shows us that with perseverance and heart, dreams can come true.
– The JRU Senior Chess Team accomplished an impressive feat by winning the Bronze Medal at the historic NCAA Season 100 Chess Tournament. In addition, standout players earned individual achievements:
- Noel Geronimo, a 4th-year Criminology student, took home the Silver Medal in the B1 Seniors category.
- Joseph Rivera, a 4th-year BSIT student, claimed Silver in the B2 Seniors category.
- and Wayne Ruiz, a Grade 12 HUMSS-GAS student, secured the Bronze Medal in the B1 Juniors category.
- The trio also earned honors at the 19th IGB Malaysian Chess Festival last September.
