Humble beginnings can create a domino effect toward greatness too. A testament to this is the belief of one of the #HeroesofJRU, Ms. Airah Murielle D. Antonio.
She built her character through her times as a school alumna, exhibiting the Core Values when she became JRU Young Educators Society and JRU Central Student Council President during her college years, and then eventually topped the Licensure Examination for Teachers last September 2015.
But according to her, her true victories are the small but impactful moments when she shares her passion for how to love learning. As the new Department Chair of the Languages and Social Sciences in the Senior High School Division, she aims to spread this advocacy to a much wider audience. During their recently concluded Rizalians Got Talent during University Week Senior High School Day, Ms. Antonio shared that everything can be a beautiful and meaningful learning experience. Even the mere act of singing a song conveys the different Husay Rizal competencies of Talino (musical intelligence), Tatag (self-confidence), Talento (performance mastery), and Taos-pusong Rizal (empathy).
A definition of a selfless leader, she encourages us to find the inner hero within us that we can be proud of even when no one is watching.
