Internationally acclaimed academician and case writing expert from Singapore Management University, Dr. Philip C. Zerillo headed a team to conduct a three-day seminar-workshop at José Rizal University. The activity ran from July 22-24, 2013. Dr. Zerillo is the 5th holder of the Dr. Bienvenido R. Tantoco Sr. (DBRTS) Professorial Chair.
The Seminar-Workshop was attended by 28 faculty members from the College of Business Administration and the Graduate School. Dr. Zerillo provided the participants with a unique perspective on the topic and showed how it may be used as a viable tool inside the classroom. Activities included case demonstrations, comprehensive exercises that serve to fine-tune case writing skills, and an in-depth discussion on effective methodologies that produce excellent case studies.
It was a great honor for the University to have hosted such an event. Dr. Zerillo with Havovi Heerjee Joshi, Adina Wong, and Christopher Dula from Center for Management Practice have pointed us in the right direction in terms of their invaluable contribution that would be significant in the developing culture of research in JRU.
