José Rizal University has recently been granted Institutional Accreditation by the Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP). This puts the University in a very unique position, being among only three that have accomplished this feat. Prior to this achievement, JRU has garnered Level IV accreditations in BSBA, BSEd, BEEd, and Liberal Arts, the most number in the country to date.
Institutional Accreditation refers to the evaluation of the whole educational institution and is granted upon compliance with approved criteria. Among these are exemplary accomplishments in the areas of instruction, research, community service, and the high performance of graduates in licensure examinations. It is the highest accreditation level a university or college may receive and this represents the gold standard academic institutions in the Philippines strive to achieve. FAAP is a recognized network of accrediting agencies working closely with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) to certify of the quality of education at the tertiary level in the country.
