The Doctor in Public Administration Program (DPA) is designed to help students address the problems and challenges associated with the administration of public and non-profit organizations in the Philippines and the world. The courses in the program are designed for students to explore the practice of public administration, management, and applied research in a global context to enable them to gain expertise in solving complex problems that public administrations encounter. Graduates with a DPA Program are prepared for career opportunities in applied research, management, leadership, and the administration of public and non-profit organizations.
A DPA program course consists of 54 trimester hours of coursework, divided among core courses, major courses and cognate courses. The coursework will be followed by additional trimester hours of dissertation units (12 units). Students are required to produce and defend a dissertation of publishable quality. Continuous enrollment is required in dissertation courses until students complete the dissertation. Some class sessions may be offered online or hybrid format.
