EXPRESS: Think, Write, Post

January 27, 2017 (Friday) –Gone are the days when we are limited by the scarce resources to be creative and innovative; enduring a lot of time to have something written and published for the whole world to know. With the proliferation of different social media applications such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and more, expressing one’s thoughts became a lot easier with a click or two.

Because the Arts and Social Media have both become a part of our daily grind, the Liberal Arts Students Organization (LASO) catered EXPRESS: Think, Write Post. to the Rizalian College and Senior High School students last January 27, 2017 at the University Auditorium. The event tackled the artistic and economic importance of Blogging as a passion and as a profession which gave the students a wider understanding about how they do in social media and on their personal blogs.

LASO invited Pete Deyto an active UST engineering student affiliated with Veer Technologies, Yugatech, Geeksamatic, Back2Gaming and VRPH to give out tips on blogging and social media marketing, and the financial benefits one can have through such profession. The second guest speaker is Kristine Concepcion, who is a professional blogger from RareJobs, gave a lecture about professional blogging, on pay-per clicks and sites where one can earn via blogging and how much can be earned via blogging. She emphasized that passion for writing truly drives a blogger to his/her success.

Surely, the guest speakers gave valuable insights for the students particularly to those who aspire to be good influencers through blogging. The event concluded with LASO president Angelou Lauresta expressing his profound gratitude to the participants and to the organizers of the event.
