January 8, 2016 (Friday) – The Central Student Council, in line with the Cleanliness Campaign they launched last September of 2015, held the Eco-Fashionista 2016 at the JRU Quadrangle.
The Elementary, Junior High School and College divisions all participated in the show. In line with the theme “Mission Possible: Cleaner and Greener JRU”, contestants from each division showcased their talents in art and advocacy through recycled dresses that speak of saving and keeping our environment clean. Each department had five (5) representatives which were composed of unique outputs from the creative minds of the students. Family, friends and faculty members witnessed the colorful masterpieces each division. The second runner up winner was awarded to the elementary division, candidate no. The first runner up was given to candidate no. 11, Ms. Melrose Adobas and the title; “Eco-Fashionista 2016” was given to candidate no. 13, Ms. Maryam Celebre.
This is another successful event to campaign the cleanliness of our community. From the things we think was already useless turns out to be a classy and truly remarkable design that could impart the talent and work of a Rizalian.
