November 12, 2016 (Saturday) –Breaking the common notion that “Graduate School = No Social Life”, the José Rizal University Graduate School launched their first Hangout Session at the Tower Lounge from 3PM to 5PM as part of their activities for the school year. The get-together was hosted by the Graduate School Office and was attended by the graduate students, professors and university administrators.
Dean of Graduate School Dr. Raul Rafael M. Ramos excitedly welcomed the students and gave encouragement to them as they all progress in their studies. Dr. Maria Corazon M. Rubinos, Area Chair for Graduate Studies in Education presented the JRU organizational chart and also reiterated the policies in their respective programs for the event also served as their orientation. More than the orientation and the warm introductions, the participants genuinely enjoyed the activities prepared by Dr. Marybell B. Materum, Director for Administrative and Human Resources Office. Through such activity, they were able to get to know each other a little bit more –and were able to breathe from their hectic class and work schedules –as they enjoy the food served at the lounge.
Moving forward, the event will be held annually as a gesture of the Graduate School students’ camaraderie, unity and bond. Busy class schedule is no excuse for one to miss fun in exchanging stories with your colleagues and classmates. Your Graduate School experience should not make your social life dormant and boring.
The Hangout Session is also brought to the MAEd off-campus students in NTC-Batangas on November 19, 2016.
