VRising: THE EMERGENCE OF VIRTUAL REALITY
January 27, 2017 (Friday) –With the emergence of different technologies and innovations in different industries nowadays, it is truly hard to think that we are incapable of doing the undoable. As a matter of fact, there is nothing impossible anymore. And, because of the fast paced technological progress in the 21st century, phones are being upgraded every quarter, social media influenced the world tremendously and newly developed applications left the millennials in awe day after day. Among these wonders is the emergence of Virtual Reality in game development for optimum gaming experience.
Because José Rizal University values these kinds of innovations and believes that the digital age will surely play a big role on how we do things in the near future, the JRU Junior Photographic Editors and Graphic Artists (JPEG), in partnership with VRPH, launched the VRising: THE EMERGENCE OF VIRTUAL REALITY last January 27, 2017 at the university auditorium. The forum was attended by the Animation and Computer Hardware & Servicing Senior High School students (70 pupils), in-house Information Technology, Animation & Game Development and Engineering College students (36 pupils) , and visitors from other universities (37 pupils; PUP & UST).
Last January 27, 2017, The Liberal Arts Students Organization or LASO held a seminar about blogging called “”EXPRESS: Think, Write Post.”. They invited Pete Deyto, from UST, Veer Technologies, Yugatech, Geeksamatic, Back2Gaming and VR Philippines to give out tips on blogging and social media marketing, and what kind of topics and demographics you can target. The second speaker is Kristine Concepcion, who is a professional blogger from RareJobs, gave a lecture about professional blogging, on pay-per clicks and sites where you can earn via blogging and how much you can earn via blogging, the seminar ended by 2:38 pm.
