Admission Requirements

The following must be presented for registration purposes:

Only graduates of the general academic secondary curriculum will be considered for admission to the College Division. Graduates of vocational, agricultural and similar high schools must remedy deficiencies from the general academic secondary curriculum before they can be considered for admission.

The University reserves the right to decline any application for admission to the College Division, which does not conform to its policies, rules and regulations.

For the New and Transfer Students

NEW STUDENTS
  • Duly accomplished on-line application form
  • Official Transcript of Records or true copy of grades
  • Certificate of Good Moral Character (not applicable for new students who graduated from JRU)
  • Photocopy of Birth Certificate or affidavit of birth and original copy for verification
  • ID Photo, preferably 2×2 inches in size
TRANSFER STUDENTS

Duly accomplished on-line application form

  • Official Transcript of Records or true copy of grades
  • Honorable Dismissal / Transfer Credentials
  • Certificate of Good Moral Character

  • Photocopy of Marriage Contract for married female student, if applicable

Scholarships

The University upholds its commitment to making quality education accessible to all through a number of scholarships that are available every year to qualified student applicants.

LA PLUMA SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship is given to incoming College students who graduated in the TOP TEN of their entire batch. La Pluma Scholars for College who wish to continue their scholarship should maintain a Grade Point Average of 1.25.

ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP

All incoming freshmen in JRU Colege Division from any school may also apply for the JRU Academic Scholarships by taking the JRU Qualifying Examination. Interested students must apply immediately after graduating from Senior High School to be eligable.

JRU ALUMNI ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP

JRU Alumni Association (JRUAA) maintains and funds a number of scholarships every year for student swho wish to pursue and obtain a bachelor's degree. Qualified JRUAA scholars receive 100% discount on tuition and fees. For special cases, scholars may also be given a monthly stipend and book allowance.

ATHLETICS SCHOLARSHIP

Athletic and band scholarships are granted to desrving student-athletes for the purpose of representing the University in thei-scholastic sports competitions.

CHORALE SCHOLARSHIP

Approved members of the JRU Chorale are netitled to 50% reduction on tuition fees provided that they have been members of the chorale for at least (1) full school year.

"JOURNAL" SCHOLARSHIP

The editor-in-chief of the "Journal" is entitled to full scholarship during each semester of his incumbency, as determined by the faculty adviser of the publication and the Dean of Student Affairs, and approved by the President. The scholarship will be valid for tuition fes only; all other fees will be charged as usual.

DMCT SCHOLARSHIP

The Corps Commander of the ROTC Corps of Cadets is entitled to a regular load of scholarship each semseter for the two regular semesters (or during the period of his command if for less than the entire year) upon the recommendation of the ROTC Commandant and the Dean of the Student Affairs and approved by the President. The scholarship is valid for tuition fees only; all other fees will be charged as usual.
