José Rizal University: NCAA Track and Field Champions for the 3rd straight time

José Rizal University dominated the field events in the recently concluded NCAA Track and Field Championships to bag the crown for the third straight time.

The feat was achieved when Harry Diones captured the gold in high jump on the last day of competition with a jump of 1.95m besting the effort of 1.90m jump of title contender, UPHSD.

Diones later teamed up with Aldrin Rey Gonzales and Ramil Toledo to win the silver medal in the 4x400m relay to ensure the victory. The same relay team took home the bronze medal in the 4×100 relay event.

Long distance runners Roldan Verano and Rudyfer Fernandez and Albert Valencia contributed silver and bronze medals in 3000m steeple chase and a bronze medal in 5000m run, respectively.
Hurdler Ralph Jay Ebora clocked in 55.82 sec for a silver medal finish in 400m hurdles.

Coach Jojo Posadas was awarded Coach of the Year sharing the honor with Elma Muros-Posadas.
